Bahrain is enhancing its global tourism marketing strategies by teaming up with Wego, the prominent Middle Eastern travel platform, to promote the Kingdom’s unique attractions.
This collaboration arrives at an opportune moment as Bahrain broadens its luxury hospitality and cultural tourism offerings.
Known as the “Pearl of the Gulf,” Bahrain is utilizing Wego’s digital outreach to promote notable sites like the UNESCO-listed Bahrain Fort, the Bab Al Bahrain Souq, and the Bahrain International Circuit, which hosts Formula 1 races. Furthermore, the initiative emphasizes eco-tourism efforts such as the conservation of Hawar Islands and pearl diving experiences.
“Bahrain is a treasure trove of cultural and modern attractions,” stated Mamoun Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego. In addition, Maryam Toorani, Director of Marketing at Bahrain Tourism Authority, highlighted that this partnership aims to amplify Bahrain’s visibility to a wider international audience. By incorporating immersive virtual tours, smart tourism solutions, and sustainability projects, Bahrain is committed to creating a tech-forward travel experience that positions it as an essential destination in the Middle East.
