What is Lorem Ipsum?

Lorem Ipsum is simply placeholder text used in the printing and typesetting industry. Originating in the 1500s with an unknown printer, it has remained the standard for dummy text. It continues to be widely used today thanks to its resemblance to readable English, and is particularly popular in desktop publishing software.

Why do we use it?

It is well established that readers are often distracted by the layout of the text on a page. Using Lorem Ipsum allows designers and editors to present a more visually comforting text layout, avoiding the pitfalls of ‘Content here, content here’, which can disrupt the reading experience.
