SWISS to Receive Additional Airbus A350 Aircraft by 2031
SWISS is expanding its fleet with five new Airbus A350-900s to enhance customer experience and sustainability.
SWISS is to receive five further new Airbus A350-900 aircraft from 2027 onwards, in addition to the five which it already has on order. The new SWISS Airbus A350 fleet will be gradually delivered – complete with the new ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin interior – between summer 2025 and the end of 2031.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will expand its long-haul aircraft capabilities with five new Airbus A350-900s to bolster its existing order of five.
“Our new Airbus A350s will modernize our fleet,” states SWISS CEO Jens Fehlinger. “This significant investment is essential to meeting the high expectations of our customers. With these advanced twinjets and innovative cabins, we are taking our long-haul aircraft fleet to an entirely new level of modernity, sustainability, and inflight comfort.”
Advanced Cost Efficiency
The Airbus A350-900 ranks among the most advanced and economical long-haul aircraft globally. It boasts high fuel efficiency and low carbon emissions, while state-of-the-art engines significantly reduce noise pollution. The newly designed ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin will elevate passenger comfort and offer cutting-edge amenities across all travel classes.
The first of the new A350-900s is set for delivery in summer 2025, following the remaining nine aircraft by the end of 2031. SWISS will confirm the routes each aircraft will service shortly.
