A new collaboration aimed at enhancing airport hospitality services at Cairo International Airport.

Hong Kong-based airport hospitality services provider Plaza Premium Group (PPG), together with Egypt Aviation Services (EAS) and Cairo Airport Company (CAC), have announced a strategic joint venture.

Under the collaboration, PPG will manage, operate, and commercialize six lounges at Cairo International Airport (CAI). All six lounges will be rebranded as Plaza Premium Lounge by CAC and EAS.

CAC has assigned full management of its VIP Lounges to the joint venture, which will handle lounges in all major terminals of the airport, as well as develop a new lounge at Terminal 3.

Okan Kufeci, PPG’s senior vice-president for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, stated: “This unprecedented partnership with Egyptian Aviation Services (EAS) and Cairo Airport Company opens up exciting opportunities for our first entry into the Egyptian market…”

This landmark partnership marks PPG’s official market entry into Egypt, a significant milestone in its MENA region expansion. Cairo International Airport, as the busiest in Africa, handles over 26 million passengers annually and serves as a major hub for travel and commerce in the region.

Magdy Isak Azzer, CEO of CAC, highlighted Egypt’s growing status in global tourism and expressed commitment to improving the airport experience through this venture. Moreover, Mohamed Kamel Moustafa, EAS’s managing director, noted the rapidly growing opportunities in Egypt’s travel and tourism sector.

Looking Ahead
Egypt’s tourism sector is projected to grow steadily, with ambitious plans to increase airport capacity and attract more tourists in the coming years.
