The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has published its global passenger demand results for November 2024, indicating a significant increase of 8.1% in demand, noted through revenue passenger kilometers (RPK).

All international markets showed growth for November 2024:

  • Asia-Pacific led with a 19.9% increase in demand.
  • Europe followed with a demand increase of 9.4%.
  • Middle Eastern carriers saw an 8.7% rise in demand.
  • Latin America reported an 11.4% increase.

Domestic Trends

Domestic markets saw a 3.1% rise in RPK, contrasting with a decline in the US domestic market, which faced 2.7% contraction.
