Loganair Achieves Agreement for North Sea Operations

Loganair secures a contract with bp to provide personnel transport flights, enhancing connectivity in the North Sea region.

Loganair, the UK’s leading regional airline, has announced a multi-year agreement with bp to provide personnel transport flights between Aberdeen and Sumburgh, supporting North Sea operations. This contract will see Loganair deploying its ATR-42 aircraft, reinforcing its expertise in delivering reliable aviation services for the energy sector.

The new agreement highlights Loganair’s commitment to regional connectivity and the vital oil and gas industry. CEO Luke Farajallah expressed gratitude to bp for selecting Loganair as its airline partner, stating, “We are extremely proud to be extending our products and services to this key customer. We understand very well the relevance and importance of the energy sector in Scotland.”

Loganair’s expansion continues as it recently added routes to Jersey following the collapse of Blue Islands. The airline also launched its 10th regional base in Southampton this year and was recognized as the UK’s most punctual airline in 2025 by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. This accolade underscores Loganair’s reliability across its regional network.

The contract with bp not only strengthens Loganair’s position in the energy sector but also reaffirms its dedication to providing safe and dependable air connectivity. As the airline continues to grow its network, it remains focused on delivering the punctuality and reliability that its customers have come to expect.
