Hotel and Shop Plus Transforms Hospitality Spaces
Hotel & Shop Plus, organized by IM Sinoexpo, had a successful run at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from March 31 to April 3, 2026.
The event was far more than a standard trade show, revealing the future direction of hospitality and commercial spaces, complete with new product showcases, competitions, forums, and special exhibitions. It centered around digital transformation, sustainable innovation, and the experiential economy.
Covering an area of 210,000 square meters, the exhibition welcomed 2,000 exhibitors and 135,682 visitors, with an increase in international attendance by 25.84%. Guests from 176 countries, including Russia, South Korea, and Australia, contributed significantly to the event’s global scope. Esteemed brands such as JOMOO, COSO, and GREE presented cutting-edge smart solutions that reshaped industry standards.
Focusing on immersive experiences rather than static displays, the exhibition mirrored evolving consumer trends. Highlights included the Hotel Investment and Franchise Zone, AromaNest addressing emotional needs, and the PLC Technology Zone promoting eco-friendly solutions. The EasternLifeAesthetics and Super Hotel Mall provided artistic experiences, reimagining future hotels as livable art galleries.
Key industry figures convened for forums such as the China International Building & Interior Design Forum, where trends and innovations were discussed. Speakers like Lyu Huanzheng and Chris Godfrey shared insights on hotel experience design. The event also included a Hotel Uniform Show and a Housekeeping Competition, merging brand storytelling with intricate embroidery and 3D tailoring.
More than 500 matchmaking sessions took place, wherein 150 exhibitors interacted with 100 global buyers, resulting in fruitful collaborations. Future Hotel & Shop Plus events are set for Shenzhen in October 2026 and Shanghai in March 2027.
