Hyatt and RLH Properties celebrate the opening of Alila Mayakoba, a new luxury resort in Mexico, marking the brand's debut in Latin America.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RLH Properties have unveiled the Alila Mayakoba, a luxurious retreat located on Mexico’s Riviera Maya. This opening signifies the Alila brand’s debut in Latin America and the Caribbean, promising a resort experience that emphasizes nature and wellbeing.
Nestled within the Mayakoba enclave, the resort covers 60 acres featuring beachfront areas, lagoons, and jungle, offering 182 guestrooms, suites, and villas.
Designed to enhance guests’ connection with the stunning natural surroundings and cultural heritage of Riviera Maya, General Manager Patrick Schori noted that the resort aims to foster an experience that is “grounded, intuitive, and deeply restorative.” The architectural design and guest journey reflect Alila’s philosophy of mindful luxury.
Guests can enjoy six dining venues, including the renowned Casa Amate, celebrated for its regional cuisine. Spa Alila at Mayakoba offers treatments inspired by Mayan traditions, including rituals such as the Earth and Clay purification and the Ixchel Water Blessing, aimed at deepening connections with Mayan cosmology and the Yucatán Peninsula.
Tamara Lohan, Global Brand Leader for Hyatt, emphasized the resort as a “natural expression of the Alila brand” and signaled an important milestone. Alila Mayakoba intends to deliver a culturally rich experience, centered on guest wellness and aligned with the brand’s global vision.
