Lobby Raises $2.2 Million to Broaden Its AI Booking Platform
Lobby, a travel technology company, has secured $2.2 million from Founderful to enhance its AI-driven booking system, expanding its reach into new sectors.
Lobby, a travel tech company, has successfully raised $2.2 million in funding from venture capital firm Founderful. This investment will enable Lobby to expand its AI-driven booking platform beyond the hospitality sector into new areas such as Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE), experiences and attractions, cruises, and airlines.
Pascal Mathis, Co-Founder of Founderful and GetYourGuide, will join Lobby’s Board of Directors, bringing his extensive experience in scaling start-ups.
The AI platform developed by Lobby addresses the complex challenge of managing group bookings, a segment that is increasingly important for travel providers due to its higher revenue potential compared to individual bookings. The platform automates the entire lifecycle of group booking requests, reducing response times by 75% and increasing conversion rates by up to 15%.
It can handle tasks such as understanding booking requirements in over 100 languages, checking availability, validating contracts, and managing inventory.
“Lobby is tackling one of the most complex and valuable segments in travel: group bookings,” said Pascal Mathis. “Their ability to move beyond surface-level automation and execute workflows across systems stood out to us.”
Lobby’s solution can integrate with systems like Gmail, Outlook, and Property Management Systems (PMS) within four days, offering either full automation or a human-in-the-loop model for staff review. This innovation promises to unlock new levels of efficiency and revenue for travel companies, setting a new standard for group bookings through AI.
