Azamara Unveils Bookings for 2028 World Cruise Segments and Combination Cruises
Azamara Cruises has launched bookings for its 2028 World Cruise, offering various segments, grand voyages, and combination cruises, providing travelers with numerous options to discover unique global destinations.
Azamara Cruises has officially opened bookings for 14 World Cruise Segments, nine Grand Voyages, and six Combination Cruises drawn from its epic 2028 World Cruise aboard Azamara Onward. Spanning 175 nights and visiting six continents and 40 countries, this is Azamara’s most immersive global journey yet – and now you don’t have to commit to the full circumnavigation to experience it.
2028 Azamara World Cruise: 175 Nights, 6 Continents
Sailing aboard Azamara Onward, the 2028 World Cruise runs for 175 nights, weaving through the Caribbean, South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Mediterranean. Guests on the full voyage can expect 91 ports, 68 late nights and overnights, plus Azamara’s hallmark Destination Immersion with longer stays and deeper cultural experiences in key ports.
Highlights
Highlights of the full itinerary include legendary destinations such as Easter Island, Pitcairn Island, French Polynesia, Australia’s Red Centre, Southeast Asia, Cape Town, the Canary Islands, the Amalfi Coast, Greek Isles, and Turkey. The cruise departs Miami on 5 January 2028 and concludes in Athens on 29 June 2028, making it one of the most comprehensive world voyages currently on offer.
14 World Cruise Segments: “Choose Your Own Adventure”
Azamara’s World Cruise Segments carve the 175‑night journey into 14 bookable chapters, allowing guests to tap into the same rare ports and extended stays as the full world cruise without sailing the entire itinerary. Each segment features late nights, overnights and curated AzAmazing experiences, so you still get that “mini world cruise” feel.
Standout Segments

19 January – 4 February 2028: Peru, Chile, Pitcairn & French Polynesia Sail from Lima (Callao) through the remote South Pacific with extended visits to Easter Island and Pitcairn Island, then continue to Fakarava, Moorea, and Papeete (Tahiti). Guests can add a pre‑cruise AzAmazing Journey to Machu Picchu, ticking off another bucket‑list icon before embarkation.
-
1 March – 17 March 2028: Australia & Indonesia This segment links Australia and Indonesia and includes the option to join The Spirit of Australia’s Outback AzAmazing Journey, an immersive land programme into the Red Centre and Uluru (Ayers Rock).
