Four Seasons I: The First Ultra-Luxury Yacht 'Navis Sapiens' Delivered

The Four Seasons brand has officially expanded into maritime luxury with the delivery of the Four Seasons I yacht, promising an unprecedented experience at sea.

Four Seasons has made its debut on the seas with the arrival of Four Seasons I, its inaugural ultra-luxury yacht, crafted in collaboration with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings. Spanning 34,000 gross tons and measuring 207 meters, this ship boasts 95 all-suite accommodations, designed for a unique, private living experience intended to blend guests seamlessly with the ocean.

An All-Suite, Residential Yacht with Only 95 Suites

Four Seasons I stands out as a compact luxury vessel with just 95 ocean-facing suites, each designed as a serene getaway featuring large terraces and outdoor living areas. This layout provides up to 50% more space per guest compared to conventional cruise designs, marking it as a significant entry in the ultra-luxury market.

At the pinnacle of its suite offerings is the Funnel Suite:

  • Approximately 457 square meters of indoor-outdoor space.
  • Multi-deck layout featuring one of the largest glass walls afloat.
  • A contender for the most expansive luxury accommodations on maritime hospitality vessels.

With modular wall configurations, suites can be interconnected to form spacious, apartment-style living areas for families.

“Navis Sapiens”: A Smart, Sea-Going First for Four Seasons

Fincantieri describes the Four Seasons I as its first “Navis Sapiens,” a designation for a vessel equipped with an advanced digital intellect meant to adapt and learn over time. According to Chief Executive Pierroberto Folgiero, this ship heralds a new paradigm in hospitality, evolving to enhance efficiency and safety.

Key features include:

  • Advanced technology platforms for monitoring hotel and marine operations.
  • Smart-ship innovations for improved energy use and environmental stewardship.
  • A design ethos that merges interior and exterior spaces, offering expansive decks and a large aft pool.

This vessel offers a yachting experience that resembles a luxury resort rather than a conventional cruise ship, with attentive service and an elevated staff-to-guest ratio.

Design: Connecting Guests to the Sea

Every aspect of Four Seasons I has been designed to foster a continuous connection with the ocean:

  • Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious terraces, promoting an outdoor lifestyle.
  • Public areas are positioned to maximize sea views, with open lounges and al fresco dining enhancing the experience.
  • A transverse marina at water level enables direct access to the sea, along with options for tenders and water activities based on weather suitability.

Fincantieri and Four Seasons highlight that the yacht embodies haute hotellerie, marrying the brand’s signature customer service and luxury design within a maritime context.

Delivery Ceremony in Ancona and Future Plans

The yacht was officially delivered at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard in the presence of local dignitaries including the Mayor Daniele Silvetti, Archbishop Angelo Spina, and Deputy Prefect Rachele Grandolfo, along with senior executives from Fincantieri and Ben Trodd, CEO of Four Seasons Yachts.

Four Seasons I is the first of two yachts planned, with the next set to be delivered in 2027. The inaugural season will kick off in early 2026, featuring itineraries that integrate high-profile Mediterranean ports with intimate, yacht-friendly harbors tailored to the ship’s unique scale.

For high-end travelers, Four Seasons I sets a new benchmark in the ultra-luxury yachting sector, characterized by residential-style suites, ocean connectivity, and innovative smart-ship technology.
