Accor Names Rob McIntyre as Vice President for New Zealand and Fiji
Accor elevates Rob McIntyre to VP Operations for New Zealand and Fiji, steering growth across the region.
Accor has newly appointed Rob McIntyre as Vice President Operations for New Zealand and Fiji, effective April 13, 2026. McIntyre, bringing significant experience from the New Zealand market, has previously held top roles such as General Manager of Pullman Auckland Hotel & Apartments and Regional General Manager positions. His return aligns with Accor’s expansion efforts, which include 49 hotels and over 6,300 rooms in New Zealand, and four hotels with more than 600 rooms in Fiji.
The recent expansion sees two new brands launched in New Zealand: TRIBE Auckland Fort Street and JO&JOE Auckland, showcasing confidence in the market’s long-term outlook. McIntyre will work with Tourism New Zealand and local tourism entities to enhance the tourism industry’s recovery. “I’m thrilled to be returning home to New Zealand and to step into this role during such an exciting time for Accor,” stated McIntyre.
The New Zealand hotel industry is seeing positive trends, particularly in Queenstown, which is benefiting from increased Australian visitors, while Auckland thrives on major events. Accor projects a rise in occupancy throughout 2026, supported by leisure groups and large-scale events. The opening of Pullman Hamilton will further solidify Accor’s footprint in the Waikato region.
Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Accor for the Pacific region, is confident in McIntyre’s leadership skills, highlighting his operational expertise and strong industry connections as crucial for Accor’s ongoing success in New Zealand and Fiji.
