Debra Fox Appointed as AKTG’s Chief Sales Officer
Debra Fox takes charge of AKTG’s global trade sales strategy while continuing her role as managing director for Abercrombie & Kent in Australia and the UK.
Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group (AKTG) has announced Debra Fox as their new chief sales officer for trade sales. This appointment showcases AKTG’s dedication to enhancing trade partnerships across its luxurious global portfolio.
In her new capacity, Fox will hold global responsibility for trade sales within AKTG’s flagship brands, which include Abercrombie & Kent, Crystal, A&K Sanctuary, Cox & Kings, and Ecoventura, and she will report to CEO Cristina Levis.
This new role aims to unify sales leadership to better support advisors while preserving the unique brand expertise that is essential for travel partners.
Fox will also continue as managing director of Abercrombie & Kent’s tour operations in Australia and the UK. In Asia, she will collaborate with a robust regional leadership team headed by Tony Archbold, vice-president for A&K’s trade sales in the region.
She remarked, “This structure allows us to deliver even more focused support to our trade partners than ever before. We are building on the excellent foundations we have in the Asian market, with Tony leading a dedicated team who bring profound expertise in advisor relationships and a strong focus on maximizing sales opportunities across all our brands.”
The strengthened sales framework supports unprecedented expansion across AKTG’s portfolio. Abercrombie & Kent is gaining traction with new DMCs in vital markets and launching products like A&K Sanctuary properties such as the Gorilla Forest Lodge in Uganda and the Pure Amazon riverboat in Peru.
Given the recent brand refresh, advisor engagement and client demand have increased significantly. Meanwhile, Cox & Kings is embarking on a substantial global expansion phase, with Australia identified as a critical new market. This strategic move aims to broaden Cox & Kings’ geographical reach and bolster its status as a leader in distinctive travel experiences.
In addition, Crystal is experiencing a successful revival with operational vessels, including Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, which have undergone extensive refurbishments. The brand has reclaimed the top position in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards for 2025 among mid-size luxury ocean ships.
Confidence remains high for Crystal’s long-term prospects, highlighted by the upcoming delivery of Crystal Grace, their first new ocean ship in 25 years, set for May 2028. The 650-guest vessel will enhance the brand’s design and service philosophy with generous communal areas, world-class dining, and one of the best crew-to-guest ratios in the segment.
Additionally, financing has been secured for the refurbishment of two more vessels.
