Restaurant Back Achieves First Sol Repsol at 2026 Gala

The Back restaurant in Marbella has been awarded its first Sol Repsol by the prestigious guide during its annual gala in Tarragona, marking a significant milestone for the establishment.

Chef David Olivas has been awarded the first Repsol Sol for the Back restaurant in Marbella. This accolade was presented during the prestigious guide’s annual gala held this year in Tarragona. The establishment already holds a Michelin Star, awarded in 2023, and is one of the top 10 restaurants in Andalusia according to the Macarfi Guide. For both Olivas and his partner Fabian Villar, this recognition signifies “a further step in the evolution of a restaurant that celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and has consistently maintained a high level of demand and excellence.”

Additionally, they express that “being included in such a prestigious guide is always an honor and a clear benefit to the reputation and projection of the restaurant.” Olivas and Villar recently opened ‘Enea,’ a dining venue in Marbella’s Old Town last June, becoming one of the most stable gastronomic duos in the national scene. Their work, projection, coordination, and understanding result in two distinct restaurants, both driven by a shared passion for cuisine and service.
