Saxon Air Emerges as the UK’s Leading Onshore Helicopter Operator

Saxon Air has secured its position as the largest onshore charter helicopter service provider in the UK with significant fleet expansions.

Saxon Air has established itself as the leading onshore helicopter charter operator in the UK, demonstrating robust expansion of its fleet. Since December 2025, the company introduced five new helicopters, increasing its total to 12, with plans to add three more by April 2026. This development signifies Saxon Air’s dedication to offering premium helicopter charter and aircraft management services nationwide.

The latest acquisition in their fleet is a brand new AgustaWestland AW109SP, showcasing the company’s commitment to operating modern and dual-engine VIP aircraft. The current fleet comprises versatile models including the Leonardo AW109S, AW109 Trekker, AW109SP, AW119Kx, and Airbus H125.

Saxon Air credits its rapid growth to strong partnerships and a reputation for effective and commercially astute solutions. Their dual Air Operator Certificate (AOC) facilitates access to both helicopter and jet charter markets, providing a unique edge within the industry.

With strategically positioned helicopter bases in Denham, Elstree, Oxford, Redhill, and Norwich, Saxon Air guarantees prompt response capabilities within 10 minutes of London, catering to high-frequency charter clients and improving service efficiency.

Miles Riches highlighted the company’s impressive trajectory, stating, “Our rotary business is in the middle of a major growth phase, with the fleet projected to double from seven aircraft at the start of 2025 to 14 by March 2026.”

Saxon Air’s ongoing investments in both infrastructure and advanced aircraft reinforce its role as an innovative partner in the UK’s onshore charter helicopter segment. As the company progresses into 2026, it continues to be the preferred choice for discerning owners and charter clients.
