Oman Air to Initiate Direct Flights Between Dubai and Salalah

New service from Oman Air will connect Dubai and Salalah starting July 2026.

Oman Air has announced a new direct flight service from Dubai to Salalah, commencing on July 3, 2026. The service will run three times a week year-round, enhancing connectivity to the Dhofar Governorate and expanding travel options for locals and tourists alike, particularly during the khareef season. This decision addresses the growing demand for travel between these destinations and aligns with Oman Air’s commitment to improving regional connectivity within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Con Korfiatis, the CEO of Oman Air, stated, “The launch of our Dubai-Salalah service highlights our strategic commitment to strengthening regional connectivity in line with Oman’s national priorities.” He emphasized the airline’s role in boosting tourism and economic activity in the region, coinciding with Oman Vision 2040.

To meet rising demand, Oman Air has increased capacity by 20% for available seats to Salalah in January 2026 compared to the previous year. A 15% capacity boost during the 2025 khareef season facilitated greater accessibility for tourists. Additionally, the airline has recently introduced a direct charter service from Moscow to Salalah, targeting the Russian leisure market, which is projected to attract over 7,000 visitors to the region.

Tickets for the new Dubai–Salalah flights will be available for booking from February 16, 2026, promising increased flexibility and travel alternatives, thereby bolstering the region’s tourism and economic diversification efforts.
