Air Astana Expands Baku Flight Services

Air Astana is enhancing its flight frequency to Baku, improving travel options for passengers with new routes and increased service days.

Air Astana is enhancing its connectivity to Baku by resuming direct flights from Almaty and increasing service frequency. From March 15, 2026, the Almaty-Baku-Almaty route will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, which will increase to three times a week in April, and four times a week by May, adding flights on Mondays and Fridays. This schedule aims to provide more convenience to travelers with daytime departures.

Additionally, the frequency of flights on the Atyrau-Baku-Atyrau route will rise to three times a week. Starting March 18, flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and will shift to Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in April. The flight duration is approximately 3 hours and 35 minutes from Almaty and 1 hour and 25 minutes from Atyrau.

Economy class round-trip tickets start at $320 from Almaty and $198 from Atyrau, inclusive of fees and taxes. Tickets can be booked through Air Astana’s official website, mobile app, and accredited travel agencies.

Air Astana Group, the largest airline group in Central Asia and the Caucasus, operates a fleet of 62 aircraft and has been recognized by SkyTrax as the Best Airline in Central Asia & CIS for 14 consecutive years. The group also includes FlyArystan, a low-cost carrier established in 2019, as it continues to expand its regional and international presence.
