Virgin Atlantic has announced a limited-time offer allowing British Airways (BA) Club members to upgrade their loyalty status. Running from February 10 to 23, 2026, BA Silver members can move up to Flying Club Gold status, while Bronze members can be matched to Flying Club Silver. To qualify, participants need a future booking with Virgin Atlantic in either Premium or Upper Class to attain Gold status, or any cabin for Silver.
The initiative is aimed at attracting BA Club members to experience the benefits of Flying Club, and notably, BA Club status doesn’t need to be valid at travel time. Additionally, Virgin Atlantic is waiving its typical five-year status match limit, making these offers accessible even to those who have previously matched their status.
Anthony Woodman, Vice President of Flying Club & CRM at Virgin Atlantic, remarked, “There are few things more rewarding than sharing all that Flying Club has to offer - so we’re inviting customers who may not be feeling the love this Valentine’s to save their tiers with Virgin Atlantic.”
This enhanced status match is part of Virgin Atlantic’s broader strategy to innovate and reward customer loyalty. Recent initiatives include the High Five reward, granting 12,000 Virgin Points to loyal customers flying with the airline over five different years. Furthermore, their membership in the SkyTeam alliance since 2023 has opened new earning and redeeming opportunities for Flying Club members across 18 airlines.
