Greater Bay Airlines Announces New Hohhot Service

Greater Bay Airlines has launched a new route connecting Hong Kong with Hohhot, enhancing its network within China.

New Service Launch

Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) has inaugurated its scheduled service to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, marking a significant expansion of its network within the Chinese Mainland. The new route started on February 6, 2026, operating four roundtrip flights weekly on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, connecting Hong Kong and Hohhot.

The launch was supported by Ricky Chong, General Manager of Route Development (Acting) at Airport Authority Hong Kong, alongside GBA’s Chief Services Officer, Stanley Kan, who welcomed passengers and crew at the boarding gate. Upon arrival at Hohhot Baita International Airport around 5:00 PM, a welcoming ceremony occurred on the apron.

Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia, is known for its unique blend of grassland culture and modern urban life, dubbed the “Grassland City.” It has been recognized as a National Historic and Cultural City and one of China’s Top Tourist Cities.

The flight schedule for the Hong Kong to Hohhot service includes departures from Hong Kong at 1:55 PM or 2:15 PM, arriving in Hohhot at 5:00 PM, with return flights departing at 5:55 PM and arriving back at Hong Kong by 9:20 PM. This service is part of GBA’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity across key destinations using its fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-9 aircraft.

For bookings, customers can visit the GBA website, use the mobile app, or contact travel agents. GBA, a value carrier based in Hong Kong, has been operational since July 2022, serving various destinations across Asia.
