OneReg Gains Investment from Air New Zealand
Aviation regulatory compliance platform OneReg has secured a strategic investment from Air New Zealand. This investment signifies a key milestone in OneReg’s ongoing global expansion efforts.
Air New Zealand acquired a five percent stake in OneReg as of late 2025 and is now rolling out the platform throughout its operational and safety units. The substantial investment and extensive deployment represent a significant passenger airline contract for OneReg and support its mission to modernize aviation safety and regulatory workflows globally.
OneReg’s founding CEO Clinton Cardozo stated: “OneReg is operating in a niche that’s absolutely mission‑critical for aviation. However, the industry still runs on many outdated systems and technologies, like emailing Word and Excel documents between parties, which leads to lost version control. By building a platform that addresses these issues, airlines and airports can achieve certifications, approvals, and audits more efficiently and innovate more rapidly.”
Collaboration and Innovation
Air New Zealand embraced OneReg with the support of its former chief digital officer and current CEO Nikhil Ravishankar, who highlighted the company’s extensive airline expertise and collaborative approach. Ravishankar remarked: “What stood out most was OneReg’s willingness to co‑innovate and co‑develop solutions with Air New Zealand, providing a system flexible enough to manage real-time updates and documentation, which aligns with the airline’s shift towards more digital, data-driven operations.”
Already utilizing OneReg across its Engineering and Maintenance divisions, Air New Zealand demonstrates the platform’s capacity to manage the policies and procedures necessary for airworthiness and maintenance operations.
Future Outlook
With Air New Zealand now a customer and shareholder, OneReg is set for accelerated international expansion. Supporting most New Zealand airports and increasing its reach in Australia, OneReg is in discussions with airlines and airports throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Cardozo added: “Having such a forward-thinking airline like Air New Zealand onboard opens many opportunities for us. We’re in talks with other airlines, and we expect announcements of contracts with new international airports soon. Our technological advantage is a crucial differentiator in an industry dominated by legacy platforms.”
