Jumeirah Carlton Tower Honors Iconic Fashion with Vintage Display for London Fashion Week
A Tribute to Mary Quant
In honor of London Fashion Week, Jumeirah Carlton Tower is excited to celebrate fashion and the iconic style of the 1960s. A stunning vintage dress by the legendary designer Mary Quant will be displayed in the hotel’s lobby from February 3 to February 28. This display commemorates the 60-year anniversary of the miniskirt and harks back to when the hotel hosted numerous fashion events.
Renowned for her bold designs, Mary Quant was instrumental in shaping the fashion of the ’60s with vibrant creations. The dress on display offers a nostalgic look at British fashion.
Additionally, the hotel features a floral installation by Moyses Stevens, designed to mirror the dress’s colors and patterns. Guests can also enjoy a limited-edition dessert priced at £18.00, crafted by the hotel’s chefs, featuring a delightful mix of flavors and stunning presentation.
To enhance the experience, the hotel’s restaurant, La Maison Ani, led by Chef Izu, offers a unique cocktail inspired by the vintage dress, created by Bar Manager Matteo Corsalini. This sophisticated drink, named The Modette, reflects the vibrant colors and will be available for £18.00.
The vintage dress will remain on display until the conclusion of London Fashion Week, allowing guests a rare opportunity to engage with the history of British fashion.
