Emirates Enhances Operations

Emirates is set to bolster its operations between Dubai and Manila by introducing four additional weekly flights starting April 2. This expansion is part of the airline’s growth strategy in Southeast Asia and its commitment to the Philippines. The new flights, scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, offering enhanced options for corporate travelers, marine customers, and the Filipino diaspora.

The additional flights will provide improved connectivity to various destinations, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and several European countries. Passengers will enjoy Emirates’ renowned service, featuring regionally-inspired dishes and an extensive inflight entertainment system with over 6,500 channels, including Tagalog content.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with its capacity to carry up to 20 tonnes of cargo, will also increase cargo capacity, supporting trade between Manila, Dubai, and key markets in Europe, the US, and the Indian subcontinent. This move aligns with the recent Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed between the UAE and the Philippines, further strengthening economic ties.

Emirates, which began its Manila services in 1990, currently operates 28 weekly flights to the Philippines. With the new additions, the airline will offer 34 weekly services. Through its partnership with Philippine Airlines, Emirates extends its reach to additional domestic points, enhancing travel convenience for passengers.
