UK Visitors Fuel Ras Al Khaimah’s Tourism Boom

Ras Al Khaimah has reported a record-breaking year for tourism in 2025, with the United Kingdom emerging as a key growth market. The Emirate welcomed 1.35 million overnight visitors, marking a 6% increase from the previous year, whilst tourism revenues surged by 12%. UK visitor arrivals rose by 10%, highlighting the country’s significance as a major source market for Ras Al Khaimah.

The growth in tourism is attributed to the Emirate’s diverse offerings, which include luxury resorts, adventure experiences, and large-scale events. In 2025, Ras Al Khaimah saw prominent developments such as new hotel openings from renowned brands like Four Seasons, Fairmont, and Taj. Additionally, flagship events like the RAK Half Marathon and the UAE Tour were expanded.

In a statement, Phillipa Harrison, the newly appointed CEO of RAKTDA, remarked, “2025 has been a landmark year for Ras Al Khaimah. The emirate has not only grown in numbers but also in the depth and breadth of its offerings.” The Emirates’ strategic partnerships and infrastructure investments, including the development of Marjan Beach and RAK Central, further enhance its position as a rising regional hub for tourism and business events.

Looking ahead, Ras Al Khaimah aims to double its hotel keys by 2030 and continue its growth trajectory to exceed 3.5 million visitors by the end of the decade.
