AirAsia to Expand Flight Options for Chinese New Year

AirAsia announces 150 additional flights to accommodate the high travel demand during the Chinese New Year period.

AirAsia continues to champion affordable travel for Malaysians, reuniting families and loved ones across the country as it announced the operation of 4,434 flights throughout the Chinese New Year travel period from 12th to 24th February.
To meet the increased demand during this busy travel season, AirAsia has added 150 extra domestic flights, providing more seats and greater flexibility for those traveling to celebrate this festive occasion.
AirAsia Malaysia’s General Manager, Fareh Mazputra, stated: “We are pleased to continue supporting government initiatives to ensure Malaysians can travel more affordably during peak festive periods.”
Great fares for a great time
This upcoming Chinese New Year, AirAsia offers subsidized one-way fares up to RM600, inclusive of a complimentary 20kg baggage allowance, from different hubs in Peninsular Malaysia to destinations in East Malaysia.
Additionally, key hubs such as Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Penang (PEN), and Johor Bahru (JHB) will see improved connectivity to AirAsia destinations across East Malaysia, facilitating seamless travel during this peak holiday season.
Available flights include routes from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Bintulu, Kuching, and more; from Penang to Kota Kinabalu and Kuching; and from Johor Bahru to various destinations including Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
