The Arabian Travel Market 2026 forecasts significant growth in Middle Eastern travel spending, projecting it will surpass $60 billion by the end of the decade.

Key Insights

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 is projected to attract substantial international participation, with estimates indicating that Middle East outbound travel spending will surpass $60 billion by the year 2030. This event is scheduled to take place from May 4 to 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will spotlight the latest developments in tourism infrastructure and air connectivity, anticipating a 10% annual growth.

Growth Projections

  • The exhibition expects a remarkable increase in reserved space from African and Asian exhibitors, with projected annual growth rates of 31.99% and 13.95% respectively, between 2024 and 2026.
  • The return of China to ATM is anticipated to strengthen its ties with Gulf tourism partners as its outbound market expands.

Danielle Curtis, the exhibition’s director, emphasized the rising international interest, commenting, > “International participation in ATM continues to grow alongside significant shifts in the global tourism sector.”

This observation reflects the extensive investments in infrastructure and sustainable luxury within Africa, as well as the rapid growth in air connectivity and travel technology across Asia.

Egypt is forecasted to experience a 21% rise in tourist nights from the Middle East by 2030, catalyzed by significant investments in tourism initiatives. Similarly, Morocco is enhancing its rail and air networks in anticipation of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted with Portugal and Spain.

The 2026 edition of the event will also exhibit strong representation from Turkey, which is expected to see a 96% growth in leisure tourism nights from the Middle East by 2030. Simultaneously, China’s focus will be on boosting inbound tourism and relaxing visa regulations for Middle Eastern travelers.

The Arabian Travel Market 2026 aims to feature industry trends and innovations that bolster Dubai’s status as a premier global travel hub.
