The company plans to expand into new markets, including Africa and the Caribbean
Global hospitality firm Banyan Group is poised for substantial growth in 2026, having achieved a significant milestone of operating 100 resorts globally. The company aims to venture into untapped markets, such as Africa and the Caribbean, while enhancing its diverse brand portfolio and guest experiences.
Eddy See, President and CEO of Banyan Group, emphasized the firm’s commitment to “purpose-driven growth, design-led experiences, and responsible stewardship.”
The Year That Was
In 2025, Banyan Group commemorated the inauguration of its 100th resort, Mandai Rainforest Resort in Singapore, alongside raising over $440,000 (SGD 600,000) for charitable causes. The organization also broadened its portfolio of branded residences and garnered worldwide acclaim for design and sustainability initiatives.
Looking forward, Banyan Group plans to launch luxury residential projects worth up to $1 billion in Phuket in the next two to three years, reinforcing its leading position in the branded residential market.
Ongoing Expansion
The company’s expansion will also feature the debut of Ubuyu, a Banyan Tree Escape in Tanzania, marking its first entry into East Africa. Similarly, Dhawa Ouidah will open in Benin in West Africa.
In the Caribbean, the launch of Angsana Cap Cana and Cassia Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is anticipated, while Mamula Island by Banyan Tree in Montenegro will re-open with enriched features.
Across Asia and the Middle East, Banyan Group will persist with its multi-brand strategy, introducing new properties including Banyan Tree Guangzhou Jiulong Lake in China and Angsana Ashar Valley Tents in Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, the company is set to enrich its wellbeing-driven guest experiences through the Banyan Tree Connections program, which will be available at more resorts starting April 2026.
