Emirates Introduces Amenity Kits Promoting Awareness of Endangered Species

Emirates launches eco-friendly amenity kits to highlight endangered species and educate passengers.

Emirates has launched a new collection of amenity kits for Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers on long-haul flights, designed to raise awareness about endangered species. The kits, available from December, are crafted from bio-based materials like cactus and feature hand-drawn designs representing wildlife from four natural environments: sea, sky, forest, and desert.

The initiative, in collaboration with United for Wildlife, aims to spotlight species such as African grey parrots, Arabian gazelles, and Bengal tigers. Each kit includes a story card detailing the featured species, enhancing passengers’ understanding of these animals’ plight.

The Premium Economy kits include skincare products from Aveda, alongside travel essentials like socks and eyeshades made from recycled materials.

Emirates’ commitment to environmental sustainability is further demonstrated through its partnership with United for Wildlife, focusing on preventing illegal wildlife trade. The airline’s freight division, Emirates SkyCargo, has banned the transport of hunting trophies from endangered animals, aligning with the airline’s broader environmental goals.

Passengers can also learn more about conservation efforts through the “Guardians” series on Emirates’ inflight entertainment system, ice. This series highlights the efforts of wildlife rangers and conservationists working to protect endangered species.

Emirates’ new amenity kits contribute to global conservation efforts, reflecting the airline’s dedication to sustainability and wildlife protection.
