Expansion of SEA Concourse C to Feature an Airside Observation Deck

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is set to unveil a unique observation deck, accessible to ticketed travelers, during the Concourse C expansion.

AvGeeks traveling to, from, or transiting through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) will soon have access to a unique feature: an airside observation deck available to ticketed passengers only.

Expected to open in the second quarter of 2026, the expanded Concourse C will enhance the existing amenities by introducing a minimum of ten new dining options, several retail stores, improved seating, and artistic installations. A striking centerpiece will be a large wooden sculpture resembling a tree, which will arch above a distinctive stadium-style seating arrangement.

The observation deck, dubbed ‘Lookout at C,’ will offer stunning views towards the main terminal, gate areas, and the airport’s three runways, located within a glass-enclosed area.

The Port of Seattle also provides a virtual reality walkthrough of the expansion project here.

Notable upcoming dining establishments will include Bell St. Landing by Hudson; Nanny’s BBQ; Bite Society; Olympia Coffee; Buffalo Wild Wings Go; Port of Subs; Chills; Seattle Macaron Co.; Great State Burger; and Wanderlust.

Photography from the expanding area Challenges in capturing photos through glass can impact the experience, yet the views are expected to be exceptional.

Ultimately, this expansion will add four new floors, approximately 225,000 square feet of space, and a lounge for Alaska Airlines. It will also feature a performance venue, a sensory room, an interfaith prayer room, a nursing room, and an area for pet relief.

We will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
