
Novotel has officially opened its new hotel located in the center of Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This establishment aims to combine modern comfort with the warm hospitality characteristic of Malaysia. It features 304 rooms and suites equipped with smart technology and environmentally friendly amenities.
The design reflects Malaysia’s rich cultural background, featuring spaces that resonate with local identity. Guests can savor meals at the Food Exchange, which offers a diverse menu of local and international dishes, or unwind at the Gourmet Bar and Pool Bar. Furthermore, the hotel boasts “The Grand Chamber,” a versatile ballroom of 520 square meters suitable for both weddings and corporate events.
Garth Simmons, Chief Operating Officer of Accor Asia’s Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division, stated, “Johor Bahru is a vibrant entry point, and this hotel exemplifies the seamless blend of comfort and modernity synonymous with Novotel.” Brendan Chong, General Manager, emphasized the aim to provide meaningful experiences for guests, merging business with comfort at the hotel.
As part of its sustainability commitment, the hotel features initiatives such as filtered water stations in each room to reduce plastic waste. To celebrate its launch, Novotel is offering introductory rates beginning at $73 (MYR 345) per night through March 6, 2026, with special benefits available to Accor members.
