The Chinese Embassy in India is set to launch the online visa application system on December 22, as announced by the Chinese Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong. According to a report in The Economic Times, applicants will be able to fill out forms and upload application materials via the Visa for China website.

Visa services between India and China were previously suspended due to the 2020 border conflicts. As confirmed on November 26, the Ministry of External Affairs has now resumed visa services for tourism and business purposes. During a weekly briefing, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, “Visas for tourists are being given to Chinese nationals and business visas were being given earlier. The visa regime for tourism and business is fully functional.”
