Every holiday season, Delta welcomes many travelers eager to reconnect with their families or unwind during vacation.

While holiday journeys can bring added stress, Delta is choosing to focus on the simple acts of humanity that enhance our travels. To commemorate its 100th anniversary, Delta is introducing a program called Centennial Cheer, which recognizes 100,000 acts of kindness shared between Delta employees and passengers.

Starting this week and continuing through January 5, Delta staff will distribute Holiday Medallion cards to customers embodying kindness during their travels. These cards aren’t determined by loyalty status or past flights but will reward those expressing the true spirit of the season.

Erik Snell, Delta’s Chief Customer Experience Officer, stated, “Gifting Holiday Medallion cards in recognition of good deeds fosters a cycle of gratitude between our customers and employees. Whether it’s assisting a fellow traveler with their luggage, sharing a charger, or simply appreciating a reservation staff member, these small gestures build meaningful bonds that enhance the travel experience. This is the essence of Centennial Cheer: acknowledging and celebrating the goodwill we encounter every day.”

Recipients of the Holiday Medallion cards may redeem them on Delta Shop for surprise gifts, which can include exclusive Delta Centennial memorabilia and a select number of Centennial Gift Sets featuring two commemorative trading cards along with a $500 Delta gift card to assist with future travel plans.

Moreover, Delta is encouraging its Medallion Members to participate by recognizing Delta staff with special-edition Job Well Done certificates. Over 40,000 certificates will be distributed to Delta 360°, Diamond Medallion, and Platinum Medallion Members who have holiday travel plans. Eligible Members can also obtain these certificates by visiting deltamedalliontags.com.
