
Wizz Air Launches its First Flight from London Luton to Venice
Wizz Air has celebrated the launch of its inaugural flight from London Luton to Venice, marking an important milestone in its operations.
Wizz Air has operated its first flight from London Luton Airport to Venice, celebrated on December 1 with festivities for travelers at the airport. This new route will be available daily year-round and represents Wizz Air’s 60th route operating from London Luton, with ticket prices starting at £21.99.
The launch follows Wizz Air’s record summer and the airline’s ongoing expansion, which recently included new routes to various destinations throughout Europe, including five in Spain.
Yvonne Moynihan, Managing Director at Wizz Air UK, stated: “As London’s low-cost airline, we’re excited to launch this new route from London Luton Airport to Venice, providing our customers from the UK with more opportunities to explore one of Europe’s most iconic destinations.”
Simon Harley, from London Luton Airport, remarked on the importance of Venice’s addition to the airport’s offerings, emphasizing the city’s rich history and cultural significance.
Roberto Costa, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce UK, expressed enthusiasm for the strengthened ties between the UK and Italy, stating that the new air link should enhance tourism and commercial relationships between the two nations.
