Vueling Highlights Top Destinations from Málaga for the December Bridge

An overview of Vueling's plans for the upcoming December holidays, showcasing popular destinations like Rome and Paris.

Vueling, part of the IAG group, expects to operate over 2,300 flights during the upcoming December bridge, which will run from December 5 to 8. The company has scheduled 192 flights from Málaga and a total of 470 flights across six Andalusian airports (Sevilla, Málaga, Granada, Jerez, Almería, and Córdoba) for this period.

Among the most sought-after destinations by those from Málaga are Rome and Paris, favored for their rich historical heritage and artistic offerings. Additionally, Amsterdam, Brussels, and London stand out for those seeking Christmas markets, urban plans, and leisure options in the city. For those wanting to unwind in a natural environment with pleasant weather, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria round off the proposal.

Vueling, celebrated for its 20-year history this year, is a leading airline in Europe and crucial for connectivity within Spain. It dominates its main base in Barcelona-El Prat and other significant markets in Spain, such as Bilbao, while also leading the routes between the Peninsula and the Balearic and Canary Islands. Internationally, the airline is working to strengthen its presence at bases like London-Gatwick, Paris-Orly, Amsterdam, Florence, and Rome. By 2024, Vueling’s network covers 250 routes connecting 30 countries, operating about 200,000 flights each year and transporting more than 34 million passengers in 2023.

With over 4,800 employees, Vueling is recognized as the only Top Employer airline in Europe. The company is firmly committed to the decarbonization of the sector and, as part of the IAG group, aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 through its FlightPath Net Zero strategy. True to its digital DNA, Vueling was the first airline to sell tickets through its mobile app and to offer digital boarding passes with QR codes. In 2023, it became the first airline to roll out a biometric recognition system in Spain and boasts the largest innovation hub in the sector in the country.
