Chris Harcombe Takes the Helm as Loganair's Business Development Director

Loganair has appointed Chris Harcombe as its new Director of Business Development to enhance charter and non-scheduled flight services.

Loganair has recently announced an exciting addition to its executive team: Chris Harcombe will join as the Director of Business Development – Charter & Non-Scheduled, effective from December 1st. This newly established role aims at driving revenue growth in the charter and non-scheduled flight sectors.

In this capacity, Chris will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to seize market opportunities, enhance partner relations, and tailor solutions to meet the evolving needs of the organization, ultimately fostering sustainable business growth.

With nearly 20 years in the UK regional aviation landscape and over 10 years in strategic leadership roles, Chris brings substantial experience. He previously spent more than 16 years at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, where he took on several positions, culminating in his role as Managing Director until 2022, during which he significantly propelled both passenger and cargo traffic growth.

His previous roles also encompass responsibilities at Liverpool John Lennon, Teesside, and London Heathrow airports. Most recently, from August 2024, Chris was the Venue Director at The Murrayfield Experience, overseeing operations for hospitality and food & beverage services at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.

Recently, Loganair announced new routes connecting Jersey to the UK mainland, including Exeter, Bristol, and Southampton. Notably, Loganair was ranked second in the Which? survey for short-haul airlines and recognized as the most punctual UK airline in Q2 2025 by the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
