IHCL Expands 'Ginger' Hotel Brand into Nagaland

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announces the opening of a new Ginger hotel in Dimapur, Nagaland, marking its debut in the state.

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has revealed plans to open a Ginger hotel in Dimapur, Nagaland, marking a significant milestone in its expansion across Northeast India. This new project demonstrates IHCL’s commitment to enhancing its footprint in the region and meets the rising demand for accommodation from travelers.

Suma Venkatesh, the Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, stated, “Dimapur plays a pivotal role as an economic and cultural centre in Nagaland. With increasing travel demand and infrastructure development in the region, this signing aligns with our strategy to expand our presence in the Northeast. We are delighted to partner with T.K. Enterprises for this project.”

This hotel, located near the Dimapur Airport, will include 90 rooms that reflect the brand’s lean luxe philosophy, offering comfort and functionality. Guests will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the city and will have access to various amenities such as the all-day diner, Qmin, which serves both local and international cuisine, alongside a fitness center and meeting spaces suitable for business and social gatherings.

T.K. Angami from T.K. Enterprises expressed, “We are happy to partner with IHCL to bring the Ginger brand to Dimapur. We look forward to Ginger Dimapur contributing to the region’s growth with quality hospitality experiences.”

With this new property, IHCL will now operate 19 hotels in Northeast India, including 10 currently under development.
