Centara Hotels & Resorts luxury flagship Centara Reserve Samui has recently appointed David Morell as its new executive chef. With over 20 years of international culinary experience, Morell will manage the resort’s diverse culinary operations, which include six unique dining venues, bars, and in-room dining services.
Neil Lii, the resort’s general manager, expressed excitement about Morell’s appointment, stating:
“David brings a wealth of creativity and leadership that perfectly aligns with our culinary direction.”
Guests can anticipate Morell’s debut festive menu during December’s signature Reserve Celebrations, along with a series of tasting events throughout the season.
Getting to Know David Morell
Morell’s impressive career includes work at prestigious hospitality brands such as Marriott International, Shangri-La, and Hyatt International, as well as a significant role at Restaurant Lorenz Adlon, Germany’s Michelin-starred restaurant. He aims to enhance Centara Reserve Samui’s culinary identity with menus inspired by Thai flavors, utilizing local and sustainable ingredients.
