Cebu Pacific Receives Its 13th A330neo
The airline strengthens its fleet with the addition of a new Airbus, enhancing its operational capabilities.
Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has recently enhanced its widebody fleet with the addition of its 13th Airbus A330neo aircraft. This new aircraft reinforces the airline’s operational resilience, affirming its status as the largest A330neo operator in Asia.
The 459-seater, which arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France, on November 2nd, is the third of four A330neos expected to join the fleet this year, following the first two that arrived on March 28th and July 18th.
According to Cebu Pacific’s President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao, this aircraft contributes to the airline’s strong commitment to enhancing connectivity in the region. Lao stated: “This aircraft enables us to serve more passengers while keeping costs low, which is a key part of our mission to offer affordable fares for everyone.”
Now Operational Since its arrival, the A330neo has been assigned to operate flights between Manila and Puerto Princesa four times a week. Additionally, daily flights on the A330neo between Manila and Bohol will begin on Sunday, November 16th.
The A330neo offers Cebu Pacific the flexibility to cater to both regional and long-haul routes, as well as accommodate high-demand markets. Its enhanced range and capacity allow the airline to optimize its operations while maintaining cost efficiency. Notably, the Airbus NEO models burn 15 percent less fuel per flight and generate lower noise levels compared to their predecessors, contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions.
