The Ploenchit Fair is set to occur on November 22nd at Bangkok Patana School, bringing together Thai and international communities for a day filled with fun, indulgence, and charity. This year’s event marks a significant milestone, celebrating 170 years of friendship and trade between Thailand and the United Kingdom, a testament to a shared history of generosity and cooperation.

In honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother of Thailand, the Fair will begin with a moment of silence and encourages attendees to wear muted or neutral colors to show respect.

A Commitment to Support

Organized by the British Community in Thailand Foundation for the Needy (BCTFN), the Ploenchit Fair has contributed millions to Thai charities since its inception in 1957, enhancing lives through projects focused on education, healthcare, and clean water. Over the past years, the Fair has aided more than 3,000 individuals in various capacities.

Derek Stamp, president of BCTFN, spoke of the event: “The Ploenchit Fair embodies the spirit of partnership that has defined Thai–British relations for 170 years. It’s proof that when communities come together, they can create lasting positive change that reaches far beyond the Fair itself.”

For this year, guests can look forward to live entertainment, rides for children, delicious international cuisine, and the iconic Grand Raffle, featuring fantastic prizes like airline tickets and luxurious hotel stays.
