New Tourism Initiative in Taiwan Seeks to Boost Hualien and Taitung Travel

Taiwan's Tourism Administration launches promotional campaign to attract visitors to Hualien and Taitung, offering special lodging packages and travel deals.

Taiwan’s Tourism Administration has kicked off a campaign aimed at revitalizing travel to Hualien and Taitung counties, offering enticing two-person, two-night lodging packages starting at US$122.

Special Offers

  • Travelers can book accommodations at participating B&Bs for NT$3,800 or choose from hotels for NT$4,999. Bookings are available until 28th February 2026.
  • UNI Air provides round-trip tickets between Taipei and Hualien for two individuals at NT$3,399 for those who book flights alongside lodging packages before December ends.

Reviving Interest

In response to recent natural disasters affecting the region, this initiative is designed to encourage return visits by offering affordable rates and flexible stay options, allowing travelers to better organize their journeys.

The campaign also features monthly lucky draws for participants spending at least NT$500 at authorized businesses under its East of Taiwan tourism program in both counties. Entries can be submitted via the campaign’s dedicated website, and each eligible receipt grants entry, with special prizes for higher spending amounts.

Additionally, there’s an exclusive monthly draw for spending NT$500 or more in Guangfu Township, a locality heavily impacted by devastating floods on 23rd September.

Winners will be announced on 1st December 2025, 1st January, and 1st March 2026, culminating in a grand prize draw on 1st March 2026, featuring a Toyota Yaris Cross as the top reward.
