In First-ever Explorer Fare Sale

Qantas, Australia’s largest airline and national carrier, has initiated its inaugural Qantas Explorer fare sale in India. This initiative, in collaboration with Tourism Australia, aims to motivate Indian travelers to explore Australia’s remarkable beauty and adventure.

This partnership capitalizes on Qantas’ nonstop flights from India and an extensive domestic network throughout Australia for Indian tourists. This marks a first for Qantas, as the airline has made available an additional two million discounted Qantas Explorer fares, alongside existing discounts, available for booking from October 27 to November 26, providing exceptional value for Indian travelers looking to visit Australia’s diverse regions.

The Qantas Explorer program enables international travelers to experience more of Australia for less. When purchased together with an international Qantas flight from India, travelers can enjoy discounted fares to over 45 destinations, featuring savings of up to 20% off the base fare (not including taxes and fees). This promotes a deeply immersive Australian adventure, with suggested itineraries accessible on the Qantas website that encourage travelers to venture beyond the prominent gateways of Sydney and Melbourne.

The campaign intends to highlight Australia’s iconic sites and magnificent natural wonders, including the lively Sydney Harbour, the stunning Great Barrier Reef, the spiritual heart of Uluru, and the ancient landscapes of Kakadu National Park.

Nick McGlynn, Executive Vice President of Qantas said, “We are excited to collaborate with Tourism Australia on our first Explorer fare sale tailored for the Indian market. The demand for travel between India and Australia continues to rise, and with two million discounted Explorer fares and our direct flights, we are simplifying and making it more affordable for travelers to discover our breathtaking landscapes beyond Sydney and Melbourne.”

Nishant Kashikar, Country Manager – India & Gulf of Tourism Australia, stated, “India is a critical market for Australian tourism, and this campaign, featuring Ruby the Kangaroo, is an excellent avenue to showcase Australia’s unique experiences and warm hospitality. This partnership will not only encourage Indian travelers to plan and book an Australian holiday, but it will also provide opportunities for visitors to extend their stay and explore more destinations across the country.”

Qantas Explorer fares can be booked directly by customers on qantas.com through the multi-city booking tool, or via their preferred travel agents.

Qantas currently offers five weekly flights from Bengaluru to Sydney and three weekly services from Delhi to Melbourne. All Qantas international fares include checked baggage allowance, meals, beverages, and in-flight entertainment with every booking.
