TAT Conducts Two-City Roadshow in India to Showcase Krabi

TAT successfully organized a two-city roadshow in India to promote Krabi as a prime destination for tourists, focusing on leisure and corporate travel.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with the Krabi Hotel Association, has successfully concluded a two-city roadshow in India aimed at promoting Krabi to Indian travelers in leisure and MICE segments. The events took place in Bengaluru on October 29 and in Mumbai on October 31, featuring 14 top hotels, resorts, local DMCs, and IndiGo Airlines, all aimed at a carefully selected group of Indian travel planners.

The initiative is designed to strengthen Thailand’s longstanding partnerships with the Indian travel sector and present the modern Krabi, which has drastically evolved beyond its stunning beaches into a vibrant destination for luxury seekers, honeymooners, and high-profile MICE and wedding groups.

The roadshow commenced with welcoming remarks from Nattachit Oonsiam, Director of TAT’s Mumbai Office, and Kasmaporn Limpanapongthep, President of the Krabi Hotel Association. Both speakers highlighted Krabi’s appeal, which combines the natural beauty of the region with its advanced infrastructure tailored to various types of travelers.

During both events, discussions swiftly moved from beautiful imagery to tangible opportunities for Indian tourists, including curated experiences and exclusive hotel updates. A key point of conversation was the improved air access to Krabi, attributed to the recent launch of IndiGo’s direct flights from Bengaluru and Mumbai, making this Andaman gem more accessible.

The evenings were filled with engaging networking, one-on-one business meetings, and a vibrant exchange of ideas, laying the groundwork for customized travel itineraries for Indian tourists. This roadshow was not merely about showcasing a destination; it was a strategic move to underline Krabi’s growing profile and highlight TAT’s commitment to a progressive tourism strategy for Thailand. The approach focuses on regional diversity, sustainable development, and enhanced connectivity, fostering new cooperative ventures with the Indian travel industry.
