
Ryanair has announced a record Winter schedule for Amman, allocating over 300,000 seats across 18 destinations and connecting Jordan to twelve EU countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
The swift restoration of operations at Amman Airport is a testament to the Jordanian Government’s support and underlines the country’s status as an attractive tourism destination.
This initiative aims to boost inbound tourism and economic growth by offering affordable fares, enabling visitors to enjoy more of what Jordan has to offer.
Ryanair has also unveiled a significant investment plan for Jordan, which includes increasing seat capacity by 360% to 3 million annually and launching new flights to Marka Airport, while sustaining operations in Aqaba.
CEO, Eddie Wilson, expressed excitement about the return to full operations in Jordan starting in October, highlighting the importance of their investment in maintaining Jordan’s attractiveness as a tourist destination.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, celebrated this expansion as a pivotal moment for Jordan’s aviation and tourism sectors, enhancing the national economy and creating opportunities.
Moreover, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat from the Jordan Tourism Board noted the significance of Ryanair’s role in promoting Jordan as a competitive travel hub since their partnership began in 2018, emphasizing successful marketing efforts that have massively increased European arrivals.
