Emirates Launches Airbus A350 with Premium Economy Service in Oslo

Emirates marks a milestone with the introduction of the Airbus A350 to Oslo, offering its Premium Economy service for the first time in Scandinavia.

Emirates has celebrated a significant achievement with the launch of its Airbus A350 in Oslo, introducing the Premium Economy service to Scandinavia for the first time. This milestone highlights the airline’s dedication to providing superior services in the region.

The A350 service to Oslo represents a new commitment to the Norwegian market, featuring Emirates’ latest Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class designs that elevate travel comfort and service standards.

With daily flights connecting Dubai and Oslo since 2014, the route is now a top choice for business and leisure travelers, linking Norway to a vast global network.

Key executives from Emirates, including Pierfrancesco Carino, VP of Commercial Operations, and Terje Grue, Country Manager, attended the launch celebration. They were joined by Majid Al Matrooshi from the UAE Embassy in Norway, Ståle Lien Hansen, Mayor of Ullensaker, and Dorothy Billett, SVP of Terminal Operations at Avinor.

Terje Grue remarked: “We are thrilled to bring the A350 and our Premium Economy product to Norway. This is an important step in strengthening our presence in the market. Travellers from Oslo will now be able to enjoy an entirely new level of comfort, whether flying to Dubai or onwards to our many destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia.”

Introducing Premium Economy

This new service presents a luxurious travel experience akin to Business Class available on many airlines. The Premium Economy cabin features generous space, with a seat pitch of 40 inches, a recline of 8 inches, and adjustable headrests for enhanced comfort. Each seat is adorned with delicate cream leather and includes foldout tables for dining or working.

Premium Economy also features amenities such as in-seat charging points, side cocktail tables, a 13.3-inch entertainment screen, and special kits for convenience on select flights, as well as an exclusive sparkling wine.

Guests and media members enjoyed a static tour of the new aircraft and Premium Economy cabin after the arrival of the A350, which is set to provide daily services on route EK159/160 between Oslo and Dubai, with convenient connections to 145 destinations worldwide, including favorites among Norwegians like Thailand, Japan, and Australia.
