The OMRAN Group has been appointed as the Sustainability Data Partner of the WTTC, launching an Environmental & Social Impact Data Index at the Global Summit.
The Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) proudly joined the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) as its official Sustainability Data Partner. This strategic association aims to improve global collaborations in sustainable tourism by utilizing data to shape policies, promote accountability, and accelerate a positive impact throughout the industry.

During the recently held Global Summit in Rome, which assembled chief executives and key decision-makers from leading travel and tourism organizations, the groundbreaking index was revealed. This index is designed to measure, benchmark, and enhance the sector’s impact on people and the planet.
At the Summit, the CEO of OMRAN Group delivered a keynote speech titled “Examples of Excellence,” highlighting the Group’s human capital development strategy called #IAmTourism. This model aims to empower and cultivate human resources in alignment with Oman’s Vision 2040 and to translate national tourism strategy objectives into tangible outcomes.
The CEO reiterated that this partnership with WTTC marks a significant milestone in embedding sustainability, ESG principles, and In-Country Value at the heart of tourism development.
