
Star Princess Sets Sail on Maiden Voyage
Princess Cruises launches the Star Princess on an 11-day journey across the Mediterranean.
Princess Cruises’ latest Sphere Class ship, Star Princess, has officially embarked on its maiden voyage from Barcelona as of October 4th.
The Star Princess, the seventeenth vessel in the cruise line’s fleet, is set for an 11-day journey through the Western Mediterranean.
Weighing in at 177,800 tons and accommodating 4,300 guests, the Star Princess brandishes 30 unique dining and bar venues, alongside elevated entertainment options and luxurious accommodations.
The ship will visit several notable ports including Marseille, Rome, Naples, Sicily, Cartagena, and Gibraltar before returning to Barcelona. Additionally, following a week-long Mediterranean itinerary, Star Princess will set off on a transatlantic journey, arriving in Fort Lauderdale for its Caribbean season and a grand naming ceremony scheduled for November 6th.
This winter, the ship will offer Caribbean cruises, ultimately making its way through the Panama Canal for a debut season of week-long Alaska Inside Passage voyages in the summer of 2026, becoming the newer fleet member providing spectacular cruises to Alaska.

Camila, a New York Times bestselling author and founder of Women of Today, partners with Matthew, an actor and author recognized for both his acclaimed films and philanthropic endeavors.
