The delegation consists of 14 umpires and four match referees, representing ten nationalities, paying homage to Emirates, the ICC’s Global partner. This Women’s Cricket World Cup, in its 13th edition, is groundbreaking as it will be the first Women’s 50-over World Cup to be officiated solely by an all-women team.
Emirates is proud to support this initiative, aligning with their commitment to gender equity. Boutros stated: “As the Official Airline Partner of the ICC, Emirates is proud to support the first all-women team of match officials. This event marks an important step towards inclusivity and equal opportunities both on and off the field.”
Additionally, Emirates promotes the ICC 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme, offering development opportunities for aspiring female leaders in cricket. This partnership, well into its third decade, enhances visibility and support for women in sports, securing exclusive fares and discounts for participants, as well as mentoring for future leaders within cricket.
