Wego’s latest data highlights a 33.58% increase in international flight searches from Saudi Arabia this winter, notably to Egypt, Türkiye, and the UAE.

Wego’s comprehensive data indicates that international flight searches from Saudi Arabia have surged significantly when compared to last winter, coinciding with a decrease in average travel costs. Traveling this winter is reported to be 25.47% cheaper than during the peak summer season of 2024, although year-over-year prices show a modest 3% decrease.

Preferred Winter Destinations

Popular destinations include Egypt, Pakistan, and India, with Türkiye and the UAE also high on the list due to their cultural ties and hospitality.

Mamoun Hmidan stated: “The data shows a clear preference for both regional trips and international journeys. With rising interest in long-haul travel, we foresee continued growth in travel activity.”

Additionally, Saudi nationals benefit from simplified visa processes in many attractive destinations, facilitating broader travel opportunities.
