Asian MICE Forum Celebrates Two Decades of Innovation and Growth
The 20th edition of the Asian MICE Forum focuses on innovation and sustainability in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry.
The Asian MICE Forum, celebrating its milestone 20th edition, launched today at the Taipei New Horizon Event Space in Taiwan. With the theme Beyond 20+: Embracing Tomorrow, the forum focuses on integrating technological advances with sustainable practices within the MICE industry.
Speaking at the event, Simon Wang, President of TAITRA, emphasized the human connection in the MICE sector, stating: “The true value of MICE lies in the stories shared when people meet.”
Deputy Secretary-General Susan Hu added that the event symbolizes a time of growth for both the forum and Taiwan’s MICE industry. Reflecting on the past 20 years, she remarked that substantial investments have transformed Taiwan’s MICE landscape, turning it into a comprehensive MICE corridor.
Hu highlighted the influence of major events like Computex and Semicon Taiwan, which attract global attendees and facilitate opportunities for local industries.
Looking to the future, Wang noted significant growth in MICE output, which has surged from US$68 million two decades ago to an impressive US$63 billion today. He called for ongoing innovation and collaboration to pave the way for the next 20 years of MICE in Taiwan.
