Air France Commemorates Four Decades of Service from Birmingham Airport

Air France marks its 40-year legacy of operations from Birmingham Airport, celebrating its robust connection to international travel.

Air France is celebrating 40 years of connecting Birmingham to the world, continuously providing access to Paris and beyond since 1985. Currently, passengers can connect from Birmingham to over 180 destinations globally, bolstered by partnerships with KLM and Transavia, reaching a total of over 320 destinations.

In the past year, the demand for international travel has surged, with more than 656,000 passengers traveling through Birmingham Airport on Air France and KLM. Countries including Germany, Italy, Nigeria, the USA, and South Africa represent the top destinations for travelers.

“We celebrate this milestone as Birmingham Airport is a key point for our UK operations. We are eager to maintain this relationship for many more years,” said Jerome Salemi, General Manager of Air France-KLM for the UK and Ireland.

Additionally, Al Titterington stated the importance of Air France in connecting Birmingham to numerous destinations, affirming their commitment to welcoming more passengers in the future.
