Marriott International Appoints Kiran Andicot as Senior Vice President for South Asia

Kiran Andicot has been appointed Senior Vice President to lead Marriott's operations in South Asia.

Marriott International Inc. has appointed Kiran Andicot as Senior Vice President to lead its South Asia region. This promotion will see Kiran overseeing operations and development across Marriott International’s South Asia portfolio. In his expanded role, he will align growth with operational performance, deepen owner partnerships, accelerate conversions and openings, and strengthen the region’s leadership bench.

Kiran brings nearly 30 years of experience leading teams across various hospitality disciplines in India and South Asia, including operations, consultancy, planning, and feasibility to development. He joined Marriott’s Development & Feasibility team in 2006, where he has risen through the ranks over his 19-year tenure. His extensive expertise and in-depth market knowledge help position Marriott International for sustained growth in South Asia, solidifying its status as the largest hospitality chain in India.

Leading development in South Asia, Kiran has been pivotal in driving unprecedented growth in India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, signing more than 220 hotels for the region. In India alone, his team secured a record 42 hotels and approximately 7,000 rooms in 2024, including a landmark deal with Concept Hospitality to affiliate The Fern portfolio of 115 properties with Series by Marriott. These signings extend Marriott’s reach into Tier 2 and 3 cities, with future openings anticipated in locations such as Surat, Shimla, Jalandhar, and Coorg. Alongside geographical expansion, Marriott’s portfolio is diversifying into the residences segment.

“These accomplishments testify to Kiran’s deep understanding of South Asian markets, strong relationships with our owner partners, incisive business acumen, and steady leadership. I am confident that with his vast expertise, supported by our experienced leadership bench, we will position Marriott well as we continue to grow in South Asia,” stated Rajeev Menon, President Marriott International Asia Pacific excluding China.

Prior to his role at Marriott, Kiran spent four years in real estate and hospitality consultancy with EY and HVS and seven years in hotel operations with IHCL and the Oberoi group at various locations across India.
